This particular rosca is gigantic and easily the largest I've seen in four or so years of traveling to and living in Tijuana. The strips of jelly are referred to as ate and I can't discern a particular flavor to them, although they're traditionally guava-flavored.
It's pretty buttery and has a pretty generous crust of sugar over the alternating segments.
